Yonkers is one of the few construction firms in the region that has continuously operated for over 80 years under the same name and family ownership. Our key to long-term growth and stability lies in the firm’s core belief that its people are its most important resource, which has resulted in one of the highest employee retention rates in the industry.

RESPONSIVE TO OWNER’S NEEDS

Projects Completed Ahead of Schedule

The CTDOT requested Yonkers for an emergency bridge demolition on I-95 after an accident with a tanker truck started a fire and caused significant structural damage to the overpass. Yonkers and its team were able to demolish the bridge and reopen all lanes of traffic in one weekend. An example of the kind of service that has made Yonkers a trusted name in heavy civil construction with agencies throughout the region. Yonkers’ prompt response led to negotiations with the CTDOT for a full replacement of the overpass. The reconstruction was completed ahead of schedule, further demonstrating Yonkers’ reliability and efficiency in delivering critical infrastructure projects.

Yonkers achieved substantial completion of the full deck replacement and reopening of the north span of the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge 9 months ahead of schedule.
