Deck Pour on I-95 Project Westport, CT

09/22/2023 - Concrete was poured on the first bridge deck, part of the I-95 Median Reconstruction and Resurfacing Project. This bridge is over Saugatuck Avenue in Westport, CT on the northbound side of I-95. There is a separate bridge being built on the southbound side. The bridges are being built parallel to I-95 and will be slid into place after the current bridge is demolished, known as the Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) technique. This technique is expected to take place in the next month.

The overall goal of this project is to improve safety on this busy section of I-95 in the towns of Westport and Norwalk, CT.
